Gli scuretti colorati / The coloured blinds

Terminata la verniciatura del portoncino su strada, montata la nuova serranda per il garage – bianca per mimetizzarla – si montano anche questi scuretti in legno che, oltre alla funzione anti intrusione! , sono utili aperti a pacchetto per schermare il sole estivo che batte sulla facciata nel pomeriggio. Ma questi non sono affatto bianchi: RAL 5001 un blu aviatore – per me o detto blu verdastro - e RAL 2008 un arancione direi … da scatola di Hermes! – detto rosso arancio chiaro -. E’ l’accostamento di colori che preferisco, premesso che la scelta del blu è stata affidata a Daniele, di conseguenza ho optato per quell’arancione.

Over the painting of the front door on the street, set up the new garage door – white to camouflage it- these wood blinds fitted. They have a security function as well as to shield the summer sun radiation in the afternoon even if they are open. But these are not at all white: RAL 5001 a kind of aviator blue –for me or named green blue – and RAL 2008 a kind of orange I’d say …  as an Hermes box! – named bright red orange -. This is the colours combination I prefer, that said the blue choice has been committed to Daniele, so I decided for that kind of orange.

Anche sul retro gli scuretti sono colorati ed i colori sono stati scelti dalle mie bimbe, perché sono per la loro camera ed il loro bagno: RAL 5012 un azzurro luminoso – detto blu luce - e RAL 1018 un giallo splendente – detto giallo zinco - per illuminare la loro camera.

The backside blinds are coloured and the colours have been choosen by my girls, because they are in their bedroom and bathroom: RAL 5012 a kind of bright blue – named light blue – and RAL 1018 a kind of shiny yellow - named zinc yellow – to light up their bedroom.

Dall’ingresso … / From the entrance …

Il portone d’ingresso , bianco come il resto, senza cornice, sul pianerottolo in cemento lasciato a vista.

The front door, white as the rest, without a frame, on the landing made in concrete. 

Questa scaletta d’ingresso è fatta in ferro, come quella per il secondo piano. Pochi scalini fissati sulla soletta in c.a. del pianerottolo ed a terra. Come nel tableaux dell'ingresso su instagram!

This little stair is iron made, as the one for the second floor. Few steps fix on the reinforced concrete slab landing and on the ground. As in the entrance moodboard on instagram!

Questo piccolo ingresso risulta molto luminoso grazie ai vetri nuovi, bianco latte come la verniciatura del portoncino e della porta del garage – i nostri lavori fai da te!

This little entrance seems to be very bright tanks to the new glasses, milky white as the painting of the entrance door e the garage door – our work DIY!

Finestre!! Windows!!

Questo è l’infisso della finestrina dell’area pranzo, piccolo ma completo di tutto: infisso in legno lamellare con doppio vetro 4+16+4BE - con valori medi di trasmittanza termica Uf 1,79 W/mqK, Ug 1,4 W/mqK, Uw 1,68 W/mqK – con il telaio esterno, sempre in legno, per l’alloggiamento della zanzariera a rullo.

This is the frame of the dining area, small but full of all: laminated wood frame with double-glazing 4+16+4BE – with thermal trasmittance mean values Uf 1,79 W/mqK, Ug 1,4 W/mqK, Uw 1,68 W/mqK – with the outside wood frame to accommodate the mosquito roller net.

Arrivati gli infissi la squadra deve metterli in opera usando il nuovo sistema – non la schiuma! – per il quale ha appena fatto un corso! Prima di tutto bisogna posare sul nodo inferiore il nastro di butile – quello azzurro – poi …

Now that the frames arrived the team have to fix them with the new scheme – not with the foam! – for which they had just a course! First of all they have to fix the butyl tape on lower node – the blue one – then …

Ora bisogna agire in fretta per posare sui nodi laterali e superiori i nastri precompressi – quelli neri – verso l’esterno per la tenuta all’acqua e al vento che applicano direttamente sull’aletta metallica del controtelaio; verso l’interno per la tenuta all’aria e per l’isolamento termico che decidono di applicare (dopo averlo provato al corso!) direttamente sull’infisso. Il difficile è che essendo nastri precompressi questi tendono a gonfiarsi velocemente, quindi l’applicazione dei nastri ed il montaggio dell’infisso deve essere veloce! Ma la squadra si è organizzata e sta procedendo benissimo.

Now they have to act quickly to lay down the prestressed tapes – the black ones – towards outside for the water and wind tightness that they fix on the metallic flap of the frame; towards inside for air tightness and thermal insulation that they decide to fix directly on the frame (after having done at the course!). The hard thing is that the prestressed tapes aim to swell quickly, so the tape and the frame fixing has to be very fast! But the team set up and is going ahead very well.

Et voilà infisso montato!

Il procedimento è lo stesso per tutti gli infissi e a lavoro quasi finito posso godermi la mia casetta! Installare gli infissi rende la casa finalmente tua! Non più preda di qualsiasi muratore, installatore etc… (Anche se ancora mi manca il portone blindato L …)

The procedure is the same for all the frames and when the work is almost done I’m able to enjoy my house! Fix the frames makes yours home at last! No longer prey to any masons, installer etc.. (Even if my inner front door is not arrived L …)

Fai da te: il portoncino !!! / DIY : the front door !!!

Premesso che il fai da te non è il nostro forte … ci mettiamo all’opera per sverniciare il portoncino su strada, che mi è sempre piaciuto ma va valorizzato. Speriamo di riuscirci: dobbiamo anche cambiare un vetro rotto e non trovando più quello vecchio li sostituiremo entrambi. Intanto riusciamo a togliere la vecchia vernice e portare in superficie le venature del legno, che penso sia di olmo.

I have to say that diy is not our strong suit … we  set to work on the paint stripping of the front door on street, that I love but it must be valued. We hope to be able: we have to change a broken glass but  not finding the old type, we have to replace both. First of all we achieve to remove the old paint and to bring to light the wood veins, that I think it is of elm.

Lavoretti vari e ... finestre /

Non sto ad ammorbarvi ancora con l’installazione dei controtelai, ma questi sono gli ultimi, veramente! Sono le due aperture del bagno e della camera matrimoniale, il procedimento è sempre lo stesso tanto che neanche le foto mi vengono più bene.

I am not still going to bore you with the frame’s installation, but these are the last ones, really! They are about the two windows in the bathroom and in the master bedroom; the system is always the same, so much so the photos don’t even make me anymore.

Tra i lavoretti che impegnano i miei muratori c’è anche il muretto a cui si accosterà la vasca. E qui si riapre la diatriba sulla possibilità di fare queste cose con strutture in cartongesso – nel mio caso in fermacell - , ma la fornitura non è ancora arrivata e i muratori - dopo aver messo su tanti controtelai ! – non vedono l’ora di fare anche fosse un muretto, ed io devo utilizzarli ed evitare i tempi morti! Per fortuna invece arriva la trave in abete - grezzo non trattato – che utilizzerò per suddividere lo studio dalla saletta e per sostenere la porta a due ante scorrevoli in vetro – Siparium di Rimadesio, che possediamo – ma che non posso fissare al soffitto perché … non è abbastanza alta! La casa precedente aveva un’altezza interna di mt 2,70 – altezza standard per le nuove costruzioni – ma preferisco altezze maggiori, gli ambienti risultano più ariosi ed ampi, proprio come in questa casa che abbiamo acquistato.

One of the odd jobs that commit my masons, there is also the little wall for the bath. And now a dispute can be open about the option to make these works by plasterboard’s framework – I prefer by fermacell -, but the delivery has not arrived yet and the masons - after the frame! – can’t waint to make a wall – a little one - and I must employ them and avoid prevent downtime! Instead the pine beam arrive, luckily, - a roundwood and untreated beam – that I’m going to use to divide the office  from the lounge and to bear the two glass sliding doors – Siparium by Rimadesio, that we have – but that I can’t fix to the ceiling because … they are not so high! The former house has a 2,70 mt inner height– a standard height for new buildings – but I prefer greater height, for the space turn out to be airiest and wider, just like in this house we bought.

Che terrazza !!! / What a terrace !!!

La procedura per isolare i controtelai in legno è sempre la stessa: la fibra di canapa thermo-hanf wool tra il controtelaio e la muratura; pannelli in fibra di legno pavatex in aderenza al controtelaio; la rete d’armatura con l’intonaco a calce; il nastro di raccordo contega pv – pro clima – con la rete fissata con l’intonaco alla muratura … che noia!

The procedure for insulating the wood frames is always the same: the thermo-hanf wool hemp fibre between the wood frame and the masonry; the pavatex wood fibre boards on the frame; the reinforced net with the lime plaster; the contega pv – pro clima – connecting tape on the frame with the net fitted on the wall with the plaster … boring!

Per le aperture sulla terrazza i muratori fanno un lavoro … da muratori! Per portare il piano esterno a filo interno si deve creare lo scalino. E qui i muratori non possono sbagliare …

For the terrace windows the masons do work … like masons! I need to lead the outside layer inside with a step. And now the masons cannot go wrong …

La vista della terrazza mi esalta: sembra dipinto?! Invece è il favoloso intonaco a calce che asciutto è già di un bel bianco latte. Se poteste toccarlo sentireste che grana, quasi morbida! Sono veramente soddisfatta.

The view of the terrace  turn me on: do it seem painted?! Instead it is the lime plaster – mortar -that is dry and it is a fine milky-white. If you could touch it, you would feel what a texture, almost soft! I am very satisfied.
